Unlucky Best

2001

Recorded at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco with Alex Newport. This was CJ's last hurrah - four songs that were never released. I learned a lot from Alex during that time.





Progressing from my previous band Lucent, my writing started to further develop its focus in Curbside Journal. Over these years I started to figure out how to use two guitars without resulting in the unintentional wall of sound of many Lucent songs.


We did some things in Curbside Journal, but we could have done even more if we were a little more business savvy.
